A Peace Maker Biography

You are to select a prominent advocate/activist for peace and write a brief biography of that person focused on his or her life and work as it was focused on issues of war and peace, human rights and justice. This is a research paper, drawing on both primary and secondary sources that are incorporated explicitly into the paper.

– You must properly cite any material quoted, paraphrased, or otherwise specifically referred to, using on of the standard forms of citations (e.g., Chicago manual of style, MLA style sheet).

– Your main sources, and majority of your sources, must be books, NOT ONLINE SOURCES. (expectations: full texts of primary sources and scholarly journal articles that are online). This sources must include writings by the peacemaker about whom you are writing as well as standard biographies of the person.

– You must include a bibliography of all the sources you consulted, and only those sources you did consult.

– your biography is to be mainly expository but also evaluative, offering a reasoned judgement about your biographee’s ideas and efforts.
