Haitian Revolution

1. Discuss the main factors or conditions that contributed to the slaves’ success in the Haitian Revolution and its impact on the institution of slavery in the Caribbean

2. Your essay should clearly illustrate an introduction that includes an explicit thesis statement, explaining the main purpose/s (objective/s) of the essay; the main arguments adequately supported with relevant research; and a conclusion.

3. Arguments should be organized in discrete paragraphs that are linked by appropriate transitional (or connecting) statements, and demonstrating sound English grammar.

4. Essays must demonstrate a clear analysis of the issues raised in the question, using critical thought. You are required to do more than simply describe the issues; you must show how issues raised by different authors interact with and/or challenge each other. You should use a minimum of three (3) academic (scholarly or peer reviewed) sources, at least two (2) of which must be from the Course Materials.
