Project: How organisations use nostalgia and emotions in advertisements and campaigns to communicate/deliver messages to consumers. Need to find 7-8 advertisments and analyse how they use organisational discourse to re-attract buyers.

Project description
— Basically, how different businesses use nostalgia to re-attract their consumers/the public and try and remind them of “what used to be”. Important: steer away from the actual ‘marketing tools’ behind these adverts/campaigns/statements, and focus on the language and visuals used to try and deliver said messages.
— Need to provide data. For example, the marketing materials, in this case: ads.
— The study can draw on any analytic approach within the traditions of the organisational discourse or institutional talk programmes. The study should consider issues of relevance to our understanding of work and organisations; e.g. the discursive construction of organisational identities; the institutional character of talk; organisational storytelling; corporate rhetoric; etc.
