Topic: Vulnerable People

Select one group from the following :

• Gay and lesbian
• Homeless
• Elderly
• Addicted – drugs/alcohol
• NESB.
• Aboriginal/Torres-Strait islander

In your answer you will empathically discuss the relative vulnerabilities associated with the selected group, developing an argument as to why this group is deemed a vulnerable group in society.

Your focus needs to be on the various aspects of vulnerability of the group you have selected.

Your answer will identify five (5) appropriate support agencies, both government and local/non-government agencies and discuss how the services cater to the vulnerabilities of the group you have selected.
Please do not use police or ambulance service as agencies for the purpose of this exercise as they are not considered to be support agencies.

If you have selected a group who are defined in LEPRA then your argument must extend beyond the LEPRA legislation.
