Background information and project motivation:

The objective of this project is to give you a more in depth understanding of a country/market and consumption behavior for a specific product or service in a country of your choice.  And collectively, as a class, you should be able to learn about many different country markets through other teams’ presentations. A second objective is to enable you to familiarize yourself with the many different sources of information available to international marketers. Relying simply on publicly available sources via bing or google etc. is not sufficient.

The information listed below needs to be gathered.

Product/Industry Analysis: Electric automobiles in Germany

Market size (number of users, growth rate, $ volume)
Major brands (and share)
Consumer buying habits
Details on product usage
Distribution of the product–typical retail outlets and details thereof.

When doing industry analysis, choose an industry for which data is easily available. Examples of industry/market/product category could be shampoos, detergents, jeans, refrigerators, automobiles etc.  What you are doing is you are assuming you market a similar product but before jumping in you want to learn about consumer behavior, competition and market conditions regarding that product in that country.
