Choose one of them and discuss their work. Include the elements that are innovative and truly make them the giants of this era. If you choose caravaggio be sure you include terms like juvenalia, tenebroso, fattura and demi-monde. If you choose Bernini you can site several of his pieces that are the hallmark of the Baroque style. Talk about his motion, facial expression, combination of materials and mediums. Choose one of the Northern Baroque artists that are included in the lecture. Address some of elements that are different from what you saw with the Italians of the Baroque. Mention style, motivation, theme etc. Certainly Rembrandt and Rubens would be likely candidates. DUE BY: May 30th.. I am only concerned about the Dutch and Flemish Baroque at this point.
