There are two parts to complete for each video

1. For each of the three videos listed below you need to write up your thoughts about the visualizations presented and the presentation itself.

2. For each video you should also experiment with using the same visualization software (listed after the link to the video) and then answer any questions provided and discuss pros and cons of working with the software.

You must convert your document to a PDF file before attaching it as your submission for this assignment.

In this video a powerful visualitation tool is used to display statistics about populations and their standard of living. Using the link below try out the same vizualization tool and try and discover some statistic(s) using either the same dataset or 0one of the other datasets available on the website

In this video the presenters demonstrate the use of the Google N-Gram viewer. Explore the N-gram viewer for yourself at the URL given below. Find an interesting set of phrases/terms to graph with the N-Gram viewer and write up how you would explain an interpretation of the data result produced.

3) David McCandless: The beauty of data visualization – http://www.ted.com/talks/david_mccandless_the_beauty_of_data_visualization.html
Many different visualizations were presented in this video. We will focus on a specific type of visualization called a TreeMap. After watching the video read the following short article on the use of Treemap visualizations for discovering patterns in business data.
