The second assignment generally asks questions which are from/about the General Conditions of Contract of AS 2124-1992
1.    Discuss the aids to the interpretation of the contract terms used in
AS 2124.
Discuss the common law principles applied to the
interpretation of contracts.
2.    Review and discuss the different time obligations in AS 2124.
3.    What are the different levels of responsibility/obligation on the contractor and principal in AS 2124
a)    Strict Liability
b)    An objective test.
c)    A subjective test.
d)    Or combination thereof.
4.    Discuss how the drafts person of AS 2124 has attempted to reduce argument of what constitutes the terms of the contract and contract documents?
5.    Discuss the contract regime for resolving disputes between the contractor and the principal and whether the regime is mandatory. Also consider if the parties can go to arbitration or to the Court system.
