Hydrology Team project.
4-6 pages of text, plus many more of graphs, figures, and tables. Place tables and figures after references, and make sure to label all figures and tables. For this project, you will be analyzing the hydrological processes and patterns for your two different locations. Data can be found at:

The items below are specific items you need to include, but I expect you to go above and beyond these calculations to characterize the hydrologic signatures of your locations. There are many different ways from the website above to summarize the streamflow dynamics. Remember that flow dynamics in your rivers are dictated by runoff processes throughout the watershed, which are affected by topography, soils, land use, and anthropogenic modifications such as dams. Document all references. Plagiarism will result in a zero for the project. Remember to briefly summarize what each group member contributed to the paper.
What years does your discharge record cover?
Provide the basic statistics of your discharge records, such as mean discharge + standard deviation, median discharge, minimum discharge, and maximum discharge.
What are the dominant watershed runoff processes in your basins, and how do they vary spatially and temporally? Hint: discussion of soil types, slopes and land cover will aid your analyses.
Speculate on how dams may have influenced flow dynamics for your locations.
What is the value of baseflow discharge in your basin? Has this changed over time? If so, provide evidence and speculate why.
Can you identify the return period of the 10, 20, and 100 year floods? If so, report those values and comment on their validity.
Using the array of information provided for you location on the USGS website, include any other graphs/information that help to identify the hydrological patterns at each of your locations.
