The topic of the paper must be a microeconomic issue. Stories in the Wall Street Journal, the business sections of newspapers such as the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune etc., the Economist magazine, business magazines and web sites are potential sources for topic ideas. You might include a paragraph at the end with your opinion about the non-economic aspects of the issue, but that would not be counted towards your score.
