Task 5: Produce a set of descriptive statistics from your data; for this part you will need to a)determine various measures of average and
dispersion- these should include values of mean, median and mode. b) determine the standard deviation for each data set.
Task 6: Draw some general conclusions from the information and data collected; Use your statistics to draw some general conclusions from the
information you have collected.
Task 7: Produce a short report to include Recommendations and Improvements on the survey conducted; it should include discussions on ; 1)Limitations
in your current investigation and the type of conclusions you may have drawn from the information you have derived. 2)Improvements in the type of
data and information collected from your respondents. 3)Sampling Techniques you could have used in collecting your data. 4) Other topics or points
which you feel are relevant to your discussion.
For the following tasks use a software package to analyse and present data.
Task 2: Produce a Frequency distribution tables ad other graphs and chart.
Task 3: Using a software package, create a histogram (using group data, for your findings in terms of total computer used by your respondent) –
grouped data.
Task 4: Produce an ogives (cumulative frequency curve) for each data set using a software package.
