contemporary event. I need to use TWO philosophical perspectives which will be the Queer (Gay) perspective and the Moral perspective on the issue of Same Sex

Marriage/Marriage Equality (Pro/For the issue). The paper should also be written from the perspective of a Social Worker (who advocates for the rights of his/her

clients). The paper should:
1. Identify and discuss two philosophical or theoretical perspectives being addressed including
a. Historical development and brief background of the theorist(s)
b. Key concepts and premises of each philosophical/theoretical perspectives
c. Overall summary of the philosophical/theoretical perspectives.
2. Identify and discuss a contemporary event, issue or debate (In this case the issue of Marriage Equality/Same Sex Marriage, specifically in the U.S. state of

Colorado). This should be identified from a popular media source (e.g., newspaper, news magazine, Internet, etc.). AND, attach at least one to two pages from the

article to the essay. Websites that I have found that give up to date detailed information on the status of the issue in Colorado are: Freedomtomarry.org,

motherjones.com, HRC.org.
3. Apply both philosophical/theoretical perspectives (Queer/Gay and Moral) to the social welfare contemporary event (Marriage Equality in the U.S. and specifically

in the state of Colorado).
