Summative analysis/final project. The scope of the final project may be more limited in size to a typical homework

assignment involving a modeling method and solution implemented in Excel. The most important factor is that you find

a meaningful case related to health care that is amendable to some of the methods we’ve seen in the course (decision

analysis, forecasting, inventory control, queuing, linear programming, etc.). How many of the methods should be

involved? Preferably two: one that estimates data in some way (like forecasting, or regression or Bayesian probability

methods), and one that actually computes an answer (makes a decision or optimizes the decision variable, for example,

linear programming, or one of the decision methods from chapter 3). But the size of the problem may be small in terms

of the specific focus.
