of social policy in the Caribbean. Your reflection should take into account the current transformation of social development in the
Caribbean and the factors facilitating this transformation.
You are required to submit your Globalization Reflection Assignment. This coursework individual assignment will account for 10% of
your overall grade. The reflection is to be no more than 2 – 3 pages critically analysing the role of globalization in shaping our
cultures, policies and actions. You should refer to the APA style guide for information on bibliographic/referencing styles.
This Globalization Reflection will be marked out of 10% as follows:
Introduction and Interpretation (2 points): Introduction demonstrates a sound grasp of the assignment. It should be brief and
provides a clear outline of the scope of the essay; key issues are stated in a concise manner and provide a framework for answering
the question. Background and context are described and linked to objectives
Research and Development/Understanding of the Question (3 points): The link between theory and practice is clear and logical. The
topic has been explored and analyzed fully. Ideas are logical and clearly developed.
Conclusion (2 points): Conclusion is clearly stated. It creates a coherent perspective on the question and indicates links to
related deep issues. A clear concluding section that draws together the various important points made.
Writing (1 point): The paper is coherently organized and the consistency in content is easy to follow. There are no spelling or
grammatical errors and technical terms are clearly defined. Writing is clear and concise.
References (2 points): Accurate and appropriate formatting and organization according to APA Style (line spacing, font size,
justification). Wide-range use of relevant literature backed up by a good bibliography and in-text citations according to APA
style.
