You are to select one of the following options for your final project in SPM 101. (I chose number 2) There will be an assignment located

in myCMU in which you will notify the professor of the option you choose. Check the syllabus for the due date.
You will upload a written report based on one of the projects to the Assignment page on myCMU. Check the syllabus for the due date.
You should not use CMU or any of its personnel to do any of these projects!
1) Sporting Event Management: Meet with a sport event manager for a college athletic or professional sports team. Based on what you learn,

develop a detailed plan for all aspects of managing a specific sporting event. Be sure to describe personnel, anticipated revenues and

expenses, and risk management activities along with other aspects of sporting event management that the person you interview recommends.
2) Sport Facility Management: Meet with a sport facility manager for a college athletic program or professional sport team. Based on what

you learn, develop a detailed plan for managing this facility. Be sure to describe in your report the personnel, anticipated revenues and

expenses, and risk management activities along with other important aspects of sport facility management that the person you interview

recommends.
3) Marketing plan: Meet with the head coach of a high school team or the manager of a fitness, health, or sport club to learn detailed

information about the team or organization. Then develop a marketing plan for the sport or organization. In the plan, provide specific

strategies for increasing attendance (for a team) or memberships (for a club) and then implementing the strategies. Be sure to describe

the anticipated outcomes or goals to be achieved through the implementation of this marketing plan.
