Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is for students to collaborate to offer critique and assessment of select China trade disputes with the United States. Students focus on trade disputes wherein China is 1) the complainant and 2) the respondent. Students discuss and assess the cogency of the dispute settlements based on abstract concepts from the text and relevant scholarly resources and real world scenarios.

Students are given the opportunity to uncover the functions and responsibilities of the WTO in promoting trade between member nations.
