Question: The United States Government has been involved in many aspects of Imperialism since the nation’s founding. These moments of imperialism have been both harmful and beneficial. In this unit’s instructors comments (Weeks 8, 9, and 10), I outlined several aspects of Imperialism. The United States has participated in much of these Imperialistic activities. Research the United States involvement in Latin American or Africa. These two geographical areas have both been influenced by the United States at different points in modern world history. Explain in your work, why the United States became involved in your chosen area. What resources were they trying to utilize? Was the United States involvement beneficial, harmful, or both, to the local people? What lasting impact has United States involvement had on your chosen region.

I will accept parenthetical documentation, footnoting, or end noting as your citation style. You may include a bibliography (works cited page) at the end of your paper.
