for this assignment you will write a summary or progress report. this writing assignment will show your ability to compose a business report or summary that would be required in many business settings. first choose one of the following options:

1. write a summary of an interesting news article. find an article on something that interest you and give a summary that contains the key points of the article without simply rewriting the article all over again. the length of the summary needs to be at least 300 words. do not copy the article.
2. create a progress report based on an event that you are planning or would like to plan for example if you are planning a family vacation in the next 3 months write a progress report indicating how how your travel plans are progressing and what steps have been taken towards the planning process. this report should be written in complete sentences and at 300 words.
