Memorandum of Instruction (MOI) for MICCC-CC Argumentative Essay/Paper

 

Instructions:

 

Review TC 7-100 Hybrid Threat and TC 7-100.3 Irregular Opposing Forces.  Write a 2-4 page (body of text) argumentative paper on “What will be the most significant threat to U.S. forces in the next 10 years and why?”  The paper will cover a specific threat that falls under a Conventional, Irregular or Hybrid threat.The threat should be an organization or entity.Paper must include the following:

 

 

The paper will include a cover sheet, footnotes, and bibliography page.  Ensure all sources are cited IAW with the Chicago Writing Style.  The standard writing format is the Chicago writing style.  The Army standard on how to write in an Army writing style is in Student Text (ST) 22-2.  Arial or Times New Roman, 12-font will be used for this paper.

 

A paper less than 2 pages and longer than 4 pages is an automatic rewrite.  Attention to detail is key!  All passing papers on the second attempt will receive an 80% for US students and 70% for International students.  Review ISAP for passing requirements.

 

Ensure the paper has the required information:  cover sheet, thesis, body, footnotes, conclusion, and bibliography page (tri-colons).  Failure to include any of the requirements will be an automatic rewrite.Do not use excessive quote(s) for this paper.  A quote totaling more than five lines is excessive.

 

Draft Papers must be submitted for Plagiarism Review NLT two days prior to due date.

Students that receives a review score of 0% or 40% or greatermust meet with their Instructor for a review of their paper.  See CC training calendar for due dates.  Any late paper is anautomatic zero.  If there are problems or issues with turning in this assignment on time, ensure the instructor is informed as earliest as possible.  In addition, if there are questions regarding this assignment, ensure the instructor is informed immediately.  Instructors will have a standard format on what right looks like.  All final papers must meet ISAP standards for academic honesty and plagiarism.  Students are held accountable for their final work.

 

The MICCC_2 Most Significant Threat to the US – SS (061015)Rubric will be used to assist evaluation. Papers will be returned when graded, not by calendar date.  To identify simple grammar errors and vague sentences, students should use the peer review system.

 

The student MUST submit the rubric with the paper. The rubric will have the student’s name and within the assessment block on the bottom MUST have a name of a peer reviewer.
