Instructions

Answer the ‘policy questions’ and ‘Your Turn’ questions in an essay format. Try to include some original questions yourself!

Directions

1. Your paper must cover the following material: (Hint: these could be headings in your paper)

• A definition of the issue – in your own words
• Your response to questions – what is your position
• Recent developments: what are current legislation, research findings, social initiatives, media coverage, etc., on the issue
• Implications for society: how will changes/trends regarding this issue impact present or future generations

1. The assignment should be in APA format with good spelling and grammar, including:

• title page, page numbers, headings (they will help you organize your paper better)
• double spaced, 1” margins, 12 pt font, Times New Roman
• correctly formatted citations, reference page
• an essay includes an introduction and conclusion

3. Consider including references to newspaper articles, websites, academic journals, other textbooks, court decisions, statistics, etc.
