Applications of Hypothesis Testing

There are different varieties of hypothesis testing.
Test related to some characteristic of a Univariate Population.
Such as z-test, Student’s t-test, chi- square test, tests related to population proportions of single population for Binomial and Poisson Distributions.
Tests related to some characteristics of several Univariate independent populations.
Such as z-test, Fisher’s t-test, F-test, tests related to population proportions of two or more populations for Binomial and Poisson Distributions, ANOVA, Bartlett’s test for homogeneity of several populations and other large sample tests.
Tests related to some characteristics of Bivariate and Multivariate populations
Tests for regression coefficients of Simple regression and Multiple regression and also effects of correlation coefficients.
Tests related to goodness of fit of any distribution and relations of contingency tables are also established by means of Hypothesis Testing.
