Ac Machine

Ac machine is an machine which is driven by alternating current. AC machine motor consist of 2 basic parts which are:
* Stator
* Rotor

Stator: outside stationary stator that has coil supplied with alternating current to produce magnetic field.
Rotor: Inside rotor attach to the output shaft which gives a torque by the rotating field.
Ac motors are of 2 types: Synchronous motors and induction motors
Synchronous motor is the one which rotates exactly at the supply frequency while induction motors run slightly slower the supply frequency and the magnetic field on this motor is created by induced current.
