Current events in Coding
Assignment should include a summary of a current event or topic with its relationship to the coding concepts. Report should include an analysis of the impacts on the profession, industry, and/or economy of medical coding. You may select from on of these topics listed below or another coding topic of interest to you:

Computer-Assisted-Coding (CAC), Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC), Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), ICD 10 CM/PCS Classification System, Reimbursement Mehodologies (APC-DRG), Chargemasters, Standards for Ethical Coding

The report should be 3 to 4 pages long including a title page and reference page. There should be an abstract also.
