Select
a product produced in your city or
state that is made from earth, mineral, or an energy resource. These will be
non-living sources that come from within the earth. One example would be the
tar paper used as a building material. (Do not use this example). You should
not use anything that was once living as your product such as wood, cotton or
paper. These are all from plants that were once living. You should have at least 3 different sources
for this final project.
Prepare a 750- to 1,150-word paper on a project you would
like to institute to reduce waste associated with the production of the
specific product you selected. Include an assessment of the following:
Analysis of the
waste associated with the use or recovery of the selected resource
Describe a project
you would like to institute to reduce waste associated with the production of
the specific product you selected by selecting an alternative product to be
used in its place or finding a way to reduce the waste by using the same
product.

Describe the advantages
and disadvantages of using the alternate resource
