The Dear Doug letters are supposed to have a more “personal reflection” type feel, like a journal, or like a “letter” you’re writting (to a guy named doug). This is a very thorough response here, but it feels very “academic” – with the dear doug letters, imagine you and I were sitting down talking, or you were writting ME a letter responding to the prompts.
