Values Paper

For this assignment you will be writing about a particular set of values that you hold. You need to convey why these values are important. In other words, you need to make an argument for your particular values. Your argument should be logically sound, free of fallacies, and strong or valid. You will be graded on argument strength.

First, choose your audience. Who will you write to? What is your purpose in writing to them? This is to say that your writing is not for the teacher, but for your readers. Once you have chosen an audience, use this audience to narrow your topic and gather research. You must have a minimum of five sources.

Once you have all your research you may begin constructing your argument. Each paragraph will contain at least 5 sentences, but no more than 7 sentences. Remember each statement of fact must be supported with a citation unless it is a well know piece of information, i.e. gravity exists.

As always upload to D2L before you hand in a hard copy in class. You must do both to receive credit.
