Does I.T. Matter
Paper instructions:
Does I.T. Matter ?
In 2004, Nicolas Carr, a junior editor at the Harvard Business review challenged this assumption
with his article… “ I.T. doesn’t matter ”. Carr chose this title to get attention. In his article he is
not really saying I.T. doesn’t matter. That is not the debate here. But he is asking us to consider or
perhaps re-consider “How” I.T. matters.
An analysis of the Nicolas Carr article is provided to you from The Economist Magazine. The
article is available in the study resources section of the current week. Please read the article
DoesITMatter? The Economist. London: Apr 3, 2004. Vol. 371, Iss. 8369; pg. 74.
