Switching Behavior for Internet Service Consumers

The intensive competition in the modern day business has necessitated the requirement of service delivery improvement to customers by the service providers in the service sector specifically the internet services in order to achieve the loyalty of their consumers. However, this research seeks to find out the elements that have lead to the switching behaviors from consumers in the usage of internet services. As a result, I intend to study about the factors influencing consumer-switching behavior in mobile phone usage. This study, therefore, will help identify and examine the switching behaviors among the consumers of internet services in the experience of internet service subscribers.

During my study, I will focus on sourcing data from both the consumers and the mobile service providers. This is because, in the case of switching behavior, either the consumer or a service provider is affected. The methods for data collection, questionnaires will be the main method of study. My research will focus on both service providers and consumers who will complete the questionnaires. The design of Questionnaires will be in a structured manner in which it will capture all the variables under study. Both open and closed ended questions will allow for various responses. The questionnaire will contain both quantitative data and qualitative data to help in the provision of better explanations of the variables and better comprehension of the relationship between the variables (Kumra 47).

Another way, I will use a sampling formulation method. In order to obtain a proportional sample size, this study will adopt sampling formulation where the sampling size in the survey study, will range between 10-30 % of the total target group. The sampling method adopted will employ a simple random

sampling technique, which is the process of selecting a group sample where the researcher selects a group randomly from the randomly arranged list of the group of study.

The intended audience for my research is the service providers. This is because the strength of their brand names, corporate images, effective advertising, price, trademarks and patents are no longer sufficient to differentiate them from their competitors and retain its consumers. It is unfortunate that most firms continue facing some of the toughest challenges as customers switch from one internet service provider to another due to its credibility. The very difficult challenges have been the outcomes of increasing competition among service provider companies, cost of the services and the rates of customer satisfaction with the services received. However, there is limited published research available in the academic documentaries and available journals focusing on switching behavior on internet service providers.

The final result will consist of the interpretation of the finalized results of the study. There will be comparison of the results of the study, and these results contrasted against the available studies presented in the review of the literature. My research will give a description of the relationship of every section and data interpreted to show the availability of continuity in the presentation of the outcomes of the research (Burris 125).

In conclusion, this plan will help the service providers adopt better methods suggested and as such, it will improve satisfactory service delivery to consumers. It will also aid in reducing the ever-increasing switching behavior of consumers from one service provider to another. I believe that my research will help improve efficiency in service delivery and having a broader customer base within the service provider company.
