Globalization and the apparent need for a unified response to deal with the growing fear for security and to tackle serious crimes is leading states to turn to collective methods to deal with emerging threats, this raises a question to what extent are states willing to go to fight such problems? In this essay I will be attempting to dissect the concept behind Europol and the problems that have come with it but also looking at the need for such an organisation at European level….(short extract)
