The modern National Health Service is a Multi-faceted organisation in which effective collaboration and co-operation is central to the philosophy of care delivery. Giving examples, examine to what extent the concepts of team working are essential to the management of such care services. You may wish to illustrate your answer with examples from Primary care or Acute Trusts, ward or departmental working, community groups etc.

Major changes continues to occur in all successful organisations. In health care it involves an increasing need for cost reduction, new forms of service delivery, and a rise in patient expectations, staff shortages and a policy shift from secondary to primary care.
