“DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE. REFLECTIVE ANALYSIS OF PERSONAL PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN RELATION TO THE NEED FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT.”

This assignment hopes to identify and analyse development needs within my own personal professional practice. I hope to achieve this by using a structured model of reflection as the foundation to identify gaps in my own knowledge and skills and to challenge the way I think, feel and believe with the hope that my learning and professional skills will benefit from it.

Johns (2004) states that reflective practice is seen as a tool, enabling practitioners to critically analyse situations in the hope of informing future behaviour (Andrews et al 1998).

In reflectively analysing my own professional practice I hope to formulate an action plan to address identified needs and to develop strategies and steps together with using available resources in order to meet those needs.
