The patient presented with what appeared to be clear signs of anaemia, the indicators being tiredness, pallor and prolonged bleeding. Also he had evidence of purpura which could indicate thrombocytopenia. A shortage of blood platelets (thrombocytopenia) can lead to excess bruising, bleeding, frequent or severe nosebleeds, and bleeding gums The full blood count shows a low platelet, haemoglobin and red blood cell count, this also further reinforces that the patient is anaemic.  On closer inspection of the blood count, it indicates that the patient has an abnormally high white blood cell count, thus explaining the patients other low counts. One of the main causes of a blood count like this is Leukaemia; this also fits in with the patient being anaemic.
