If we look at the statement above we can see that it suggests the idea that social workers are agents of social control. By this it suggest that the profession works in a way that polices society and ensures that it stays within the norm. On the other hand the statement also suggests that youth workers are baby sitters which implies that they keep watch over a situation doing their best to keep everything the norm.
