Childrens Learning, Welfare and Provisions.

The two video sequences I have chosen in Larks children centre 1:32-2:37 and Hospital Play 5:51-8:52.

I have chosen these two sequences because I realised how important the role of a practitioner is and I learnt on how to be good one.

In DVD 1Lark Centre 1:32-2:37 The activity was child led and the practitioner supported the child but did not interfere with the childs learning, in my setting my role is to support the child and let them do the activity their own way and show my support and guide them.

In DVD1 Hospital play (2.38-3.50) The children were all taught about how hospitals operate, the children were using real equipment and were using words like blood samples whilst playing showing that they have the knowledge and the practitioner encouraged the child and ask many questions, although I felt as though the practitioner concentrated more on one particular child. …(short extract)
