Introduction

Sustaining the worlds order has been a major issue for all the nations.  Politicians and other concern bodies have tried different governing systems to maintain and reproduce the order in the international community. This essay starts by Webers definition of state and goes on to take a look at the two different systems of retaining international order, the liberal internationalism and the realist state-system. These two systems are examined for their effectiveness and futilities by reviewing existing evidence and further on the essay analyses the role of UNs authority in regulating order or lack of it in international anarchy and balance of power.
