PART 1: Using the table provided in the assignment booklet I will look at the figures, as both ethnic groups and national parks, and compare them to find similarities, differences and anomalies.

The table shows the recorded figures, from the 2011 census, of the ethnic groups of the thirteen national parks of England and Wales, it gives the overall population for each park which is then divided down into 5 main groups; White, Mixed, Asian, Black/African/Caribbean and other ethnic.  These groups are then subdivided into more specific ethnic groups; Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese and various others, giving a total 18 ethnic groups.

The All Categories column shows that between the parks the population figures are, for the most part, quite similar with only a few being substantially different; noticeably South Downs Park compared to Northumberland National Park. The t…(short extract)
