With reference to City Road, Cardiff (Making Social Lives DVD) and to Learning Companion 1, this essay aims to outline how some benefit or lose on The High Street, Warminster. As Social Scientists, we can look at streets from different perspectives (Bromley et al., 2012, p.19). This essay will focus on the activities going on in the street and the people that we see in them, as well as the how the High Street is used in terms of time and space.
Warminster High Street is the main through road for those travelling to and from work in and around this military market town. Like many streets, its pavements, uneven road surfaces, traffic lights, and pedestrian crossings make up the furniture of the High Street that usually one wouldnt notice.
