Part 1 – The table shows an average of aggression shown by boys and girls aged between 3 and 6 years old, taking into account the gender and realism of the models. The first 2 columns show results from both genders separately. The first row shows the results for the real life model conditions. The second row represents the human film model. This is when a group of children were shown a film of a human model performing aggressive acts onto toys. The third row shows the results for the non-gendered cartoon model for girls and boys. Here, a group were shown a film where a cartoon cat performed the aggressive acts onto toys. The fourth row is the control condition in which girls and boys were not shown any models of aggression. The last 2 columns do not show gender specific results as the conditions were not gender specific themselves.
