1.1 – The clients that we care for are usually vulnerable in some way or another. Understanding our role in care can have a direct impact on promoting equality, diversion and inclusion. Discrimination is not accepted or tolerated in my establishment. My role therefore is to raise staff awareness and to show the team that I lead by example in this matter. Equality is treating individuals fairly. I identify their differences and address their specific needs. I deliver a high standard of care that the client is entitled to irrespective of age, culture, colour or disability.  I ensure that my team and outside agencies do not disadvantage the clients in my care.
