Conventions are one of the largest forms of constitutional rules which are not forms of law. These conventions help to supplement legal rules but are not actually laws themselves. Many conventions exist, and they supplement almost every part of the constitution, they are not legally binding but penalties do exist for breaking or not applying these conventions.
