How and why are gender inequalities present in organisations?

Do gender inequalities still exist in 2005, 33 years after the passing of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act in 1972? In researching this topic, I do find that gender inequalities in organisations are still prevalent in today’s world of work. I will attempt to explore some of the reasons why gender inequities are still existent in organisations, today. Firstly, background Organisational Culture, does the organisational culture attribute to gender inequalities? In researching this topic, I find the answer to be yes.
