The prosecutor Barrister in Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr case was Richard Latham, who opened the case saying there was strong evidence that, Ian Huntley killed the girls and tried to hide it. His role was to present arguments that condemn Huntley and Carr.

The prosecutor introduced evidence (fingerprints, red t-shirts), cross-examined Huntley and Carr. He also examined witnesses who saw the girls.
