The term ethics originates from the Greek term ethikos meaning the authority of custom and tradition, and has been the source of over two millennias worth of philosophical debate. Many authors of the 21st century have attempted to further define and interpret its true application within the business environment, however nearly all observation has been too rigid for universal application.
