Our population has evolved over generations and our success and the success of other species is directly related, but not limited to, the processes of natural and sexual selection. I shall be looking at examples of natural and sexual selection and how these ideas have contributed to modern day human behaviour. I shall begin by looking at each theory and how it transpires into the modern day and the subsequent human behaviours we are able to see now.
Natural selection is a process of behavioural variation that enables individuals to pass on successful traits to their offspring. This process provides individuals with the best chances of survival, as these traits will be relative to the environment that is inhabited.
