History Essay 1

Four times during the quarter, there will be a question related to assigned readings, lectures, and class discussions, posted on Canvas. Students must write an 800-word essay that answers the question with a concise argument, that addresses the changes over time and space connected to the question, and must properly cite the information used. You will also be graded on the mechanics of writing (spelling, sentence structure, organization, grammar, etc.) as well as on the appropriate inclusion of citations – with an emphasis on source analysis and integration. Do not use outside research for these essays. Due April 17th, May 1st, May 15th, and May 29th at midnight through Canvas.
