Intgrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) effectively into the early childhood education learning environment

Critically evaluate the literature in relation to the following two questions: Why Information and Communication Technology (ICT) use in early childhood education and How to integrate/implement ICT effectively into the early childhood education learning environment.

Please consider highlighting the following areas when evaluating the literature review:
• Effective pedagogy in the early years.
• The rationale for play-based pedagogy/ curriculum
• Why is ICT such a powerful learning medium in early years
• In particular, critically evaluating empirical research and play and learning theories (e.g. Piaget, Vygotsky, Bruner ……) to highlight key characteristics such as: choice, control, autonomy, the role of the adult, the organization and management of the learning environment, learning materials. It is essential in literature review to use those keywords.
