Beowulf
In a well-crafted LAP, please address the following:
Consider the last three lines of Beowulf. The Heaney translation reads, “They said that of all kings upon the earth / he was the man most gracious and fair-minded, / kindest to his people and keenest to win fame” (lines 3180-3182). The last line has especially sparked debate. In your opinion, is the trait “keenest to win fame” praise or criticism of Beowulf as a king? Provide evidence from the text to support your view.
