Sociological Social Psychology

In homework one, you selected a movie that you will analyze for your final project. In this paper, you
will begin to explore the concept or theory that you will apply to your film. This includes two parts:
1) Select any topic/ theory/ concept that we cover in this class and write a brief (approximately 500
word) description of the topic/ theory/ concept. This will become your analytic framework. You can
select a framework that we have not yet covered, but you will have to describe it accurately, so you
will need to do a bit of research. Any topic on the syllabus (e.g. emotions), any specific theory (e.g.
Status Characteristics Theory), or any particular concept (e.g. impression management) is fair game. If
you come across another topic later in the semester that you like better, you will be allowed to
change/ update your framework.
2) Provide me with a reference for ONE academic, peer-reviewed source that discusses your topic/
theory/ concept.
