Overview

For every film that we screen in class, you are responsible for writing a blog post of at least 250 words (250 words is one double-spaced

page). Each entry should be posted to the “Film Blog” section of our Blackboard page by the date indicated in the course schedule.

There will be a total of 14 blog posts throughout the semester–one for each film (or cluster) we screen during class. Each post should take

the form of a mini-essay (i.e., have an introduction, body paragraph(s), and a conclusion) in which you explain how your understanding of the

film we screened during the previous class meeting can be better understood if we employ some of the key concepts from the textbook. For each

blog post you should:

Demonstrate a thoughtful engagement the film we screened during the previous class period
Demonstrate a thoughtful engagement with course readings, discussions, etc.
Include at least one quote from the assigned reading
Be at least 250 words
Be clearly organized and polished (i.e., spelling, grammar, etc., do matter)
