Based on your personal interests and professional aspirations, identify a possible career within a Non-traditional HIM sector. Upon utilization of the Internet and other helpful sources of information to assist with your research (i.e., your text book, journal articles, professional publications,
etc.) create an essay style paper (3-5 pages) identifying the setting, describing the essential duties of the position and summarizing your final selection. At the minimum (but not limited to), the following must be included:

Job title and position description of essential job functions

Type of Non-traditional Setting (cannot be a traditional hospital setting)

HIM Department Job Location (what section of the department)
Starting Salary

The minimum qualifications of the position and educational requirements (including any certifications or registrations)

Reason for your selection of the particular Non-traditional HIM career you selected

In addition, your paper must include a cover sheet, reference sheet, 12 font, double spaced, and citations if outside source cited within the content of your paper, where appropriate. All APA formatting and what is noted above must be followed. Please refer to your APA manual and the resources I have provided you via BB.
